Poppa Nuge:
A Voice of Resilience and Cultural Revival
Ever meet someone and just know they’re destined for great things? That’s Poppa Nuge.
Born and raised on the prairies, Poppa Nuge is a Plains Cree/Anishinaabemowin man from Shoal Lake Cree Nation. His early years were marked by struggles that too many Indigenous youth face—gang life, poverty, and a system seemingly designed against him. Skateboarding became one of his only escapes, a passion he clung to as his way out of hardship. For a long time, he believed it was his only path forward—or that his fate was already set in stone.
Then, he found the stage.
Music and performance opened a door he never thought possible—a future beyond crime, beyond struggle, beyond the narrow options he once saw for himself. Through years of personal growth and cultural reclamation, Poppa Nuge has embraced his identity, his voice, and his purpose: to revive and celebrate Indigenous traditions, ensuring they thrive for generations to come.
A true creative force, he brings something raw, real, and unforgettable to every performance. Whether through beatboxing, throat singing, or his powerful stage presence, no two shows are ever the same. He is living proof that resilience, passion, and culture can shape a future beyond what the world expects.

In October, we collaborated with our friend and model, Parvaneh, to capture the moody, transformative beauty of autumn. Surrounded by vibrant red leaves and the fading hues of the season, the shoot embodied the darker tones of change and transition. This fall, we had the pleasure of joining the Trick or Sip Tour hosted by the Westside Wine Trail—a wine touring destination that celebrates the best of West Kelowna's vineyards. This event was a fantastic way to explore the local area, with each stop offering something unique. From family-run wineries brimming with charm to modern operations showcasing cutting-edge techniques, every visit was a delight.
Each tasting room welcomed us with its distinct style, and the friendly atmosphere reminded us of the passion and dedication that make Okanagan wineries so special. It was an unforgettable journey of flavors, stories, and stunning views—a perfect way to connect with the heart of the community.
